Year 5/6 AB

Welcome to Year 5/6 (AB)!

Our Class Teacher is Miss Bishop

Our Teaching Assistant is Mrs Wharton

We need our swimming costume and a towel every Wednesday.

We need our PE kit every Friday.

We need our reading record every day.

In our class this half term we will continue learning to the play the ukulele along to Bon Jovi’s Living On A Prayer. Children are now familiar with the song so we will begin focusing on the C major and C minor chord.

We are half way through our class novel Gangster Granny by David Walliams which the children are really enjoying and look forward to at the end of each day.

For 20 minutes twice a week we have times table practise. Alongside this, we have handwriting practise three times a week.

Our topic this half term is The Victorians which the children seem to be extremely interested in learning about. Children have been given a range of suggested homework activities to help with deepening their understanding and gaining more knowledge around this topic. These homework projects must be completed and handed in on or before Friday 15th December.

I look forward to seeing their creative ideas!
