Inside the Talk4Writing booklet below, you will find lots of activities to work through that will help with your writing skills and build on the work and writing scheme you do at school. This booklet is not designed to be completed in one go but rather over a couple of weeks.

Below is a list of which activities are to be completed on which days.

Monday – Reread Brian Bear’s Picnic! And check if children can remember the meaning of specific vocabulary looked at last week. Sing along- Learn Teddy Bear’s Picnic song. Could you send a video to Miss Bishop at year12@stjosephsrc-primary.co.uk

Tuesday – Going on a picnic. Make a list of 6 things you would put in your picnic basket using full sentences, capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

Wednesday – Brian Bear has forgotten to pack a picnic rug for his friends to sit on. Can you design one using paint/pencils/crayons/pens? Have a look at the ideas to help you.

Thursday – Thank you letters - Read the example. Can you write a thank you letter to Curtis, Bertha and Gertie.

Friday – A postcard to Brian – Add the full stops and capital letters to the correct place in the postcard.
