The Daily Mile 2020
The Daily Mile Celebration day was due to take place on Thursday 23rd April so instead of a day, we are promoting a week of activity around the theme “Active Mile @ Home”. We would still love you to get involved at home, encouraging young people to engage in some physical activity to keep up those 60 active minutes! It would be great to get as many children as possible involved in this, maybe there are a few pupils out there inspired by Captain Tom. We will be awarding certificates to the schools that take part!
Please find attached some documents to support you at home, it includes some general guidance with ideas on how to complete the challenge including an “Active Mile” bingo sheet and pupil log. We have included a pupil log which could be used throughout the week to track progress and engage with pupils at home. We would also love you to tweet these in to our School Twitter @St_Josephs_Prim to share with your teachers!
We are encouraging the week of activity so that your children DO NOT go out of their homes and complete their active mile on one specific day/time across North Tyneside but instead complete it across the week/ each day at home, close to home or at school.
Some lovely Easter Reflections you can do at home with your family.
