Copy the story map to record your own story.
You will need to change the title of the story by entering your own name e.g. Miss McMullen's Walk.
An adult can help you to write your name.
Then draw a picture of yourself in the shaded box.
Now practise using your story map to tell your newly invented story!
You can continue to have fun by changing the character to somebody else.
You could try 'Mummy's Walk' or 'Daddy's walk'.
Draw a picture onto a post-it note or square of paper and lay it on top of you original character like we do in class. Now you have another brand new story!
Today's Sound is 'x'.
We do not say the letter names like we do when we sing the alphabet e.g. 'ABC'
In Read, Write, Inc phonics we simply say pure sounds e.g. 'cs' for 'x' instead of 'ex'.
Use the handwriting sheet below to practise saying and writing 'x'
