Use your holiday snapshot sheet from yesterday. Talk to a grown up about your Easter Holiday. Encourage your child to speak in clear sentences and only talk about their Easter Holiday. It is very easy to get distracted! If they did not write any sentences yesterday then they could try writing two or three short sentences today. If they completed sentences yesterday can they read what they had written. Could they make it better or add in more information? Did they remember capital letters, full stops and finger spaces? Children need lots of practise speaking in sentences before they try to write them. Sharing their news gives them a meaningful experience to talk about and develops their confidence to speak in front of others.
