Our final week at
This week marks the end of your time at St Joseph's after many years. Lots of you started in Nursery and have remained with us, learning and growing throughout the years. For others, you may have joined us later but soon became part of the St Joseph's family.
It will be a very bitter sweet day on Friday - happy but sad at the same time. We are happy that we have been there to see you thrive and develop; to reach your potential; and to share all the memories that have been created along the way.
However, we will all be sad to see you leave. However, leave you must! You are ready! Ready to fly and learn new things. Ready to meet new challenges. Ready to make new friends and new memories.
So for all of our brilliant, wonderful, amazing leavers of 2020, we wish you all the luck in the world. There are only two things we ask of you:
1) remember all the skills, qualities and talents you have and use them
2) never forget how brilliant you are.
Reach your potential and don't forget to come and see us.
Dream BIG St Joseph's Leavers of 2020!
Hello Year 5/6!
Welcome back to the last term of the year! I hope you all enjoyed a good break over half term, hasn't the weather been gorgeous? It definitely help me to enjoy some time outdoors.
We will be continuing with our white rose work for Maths as we have done for the last half term so keep going and don't forget to have a go at the Friday challenge!
In English we will be continuing to work through the talk for writing booklets which will be uploaded too, the next one is called 'Gadgets' - just one activity a day and you will have some fab writing at the end!
We have also uploaded a Harry Potter project - its designed for you to have some fun! Harry Potter is one of my all time favourites (as you all know!) so I might even have a go myself!
If you would like to read a new story by J.K Rowling, she is releasing chapters of a story called 'The Ickabog' online so why not take a look? There is also an illustration competition where you can have a chance of your illustration becoming part of the actual book when it is published! How cool is that! So if you are a budding artist or just like to draw characters as you imagine them, have a go and send them to J.K Rowling, you might end up with your drawings in one of her books!
Remember to have a look at the topic pages too, the homework grid is there if you fancy doing one of those activities (or any others that you think of) all about the Romans. Also remember you can email me any work or activities you have been doing, I love to see what you have been up to!
I'm looking forward to seeing you again soon,
Miss you all, stay safe
