Our Modern Foreign Languages Coordinator is Mrs Aitken.

At St Joseph’s Primary School, we intend to deliver an exciting, vibrant and high-quality languages education that will inspire and engage our pupils and deepen their understanding of the world.  In the Early Years and Key Stage One our pupils are introduced to French and other languages through themed days and cross curricular learning.  From Year Three, pupils will be taught to express their basic ideas and thoughts in French and to acquire an understanding of both spoken and written French.  We want our children to develop their love of learning about languages and other cultures.

As we have some mixed year group classes within school, we work to a two year cycle to keep things fresh and interesting.
