Visions and Values
We live, learn and grow in the light of Christ
Our School Vision
We strive to enable every child to grow academically, socially, morally, spiritually and culturally in the knowledge they are loved by God and are safe and valued within our school community. Our core Christian values are woven throughout our curriculum and wider school ethos to fully prepare each of our children to achieve the highest outcomes.
At St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School we aim to:
Nurture an ethos that reflects our Catholic faith. Our faith and our principles are soundly based on the Christian teaching of the Catholic Church, which holds love of God and of each other as the central precept of all our values.
Value every child as an individual, and take every opportunity to encourage and support their continued spiritual, physical, moral, social, emotional and intellectual growth and development.
Develop the full potential of each person by offering a broad and balanced curriculum that incorporates National Curriculum requirements and meets individual needs, as far as available resources allow, so that our children will be able to face their future with confidence.
Provide a stimulating learning environment for all in a secure, caring atmosphere
Foster self-esteem and respect for others and for their environment, enabling them to live as independent adults, with a set of values, attitudes, concepts and beliefs which will help them make a valuable contribution to society.
Encourage parental support in our endeavours through close co-operation with parents
Develop links with our community.
