Mini Vinnies

See - Think - Do

The Society of St Vincent de Paul has been engaging with young people and education since its earliest days. Today the SVP England & Wales is pleased to highlight its continuing strong links with young people, through the development of its new 'Mini Vinnies' programme - a ground-breaking Primary Schools initiative which is seen as having, "the potential to significantly contribute to the future of our Society.

In school, we have a Mini Vinnies group led by Miss Whittaker and Mrs Coward. Last year, our new group of Mini Vinnies children received their badges and had a special enrollment assembly where they made their special pledge and sang the Mini Vinnies song. The children prepared the prayer space, read beautifully and it was lovely to see them so invested in their new roles.

This year they will be working with Mrs Coward to further develop their roles - keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages to see how they are showing they care for those less fortunate than themselves and standing up for what is right.

The feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary

As it was the feast day of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, the Mini Vinnies prayed the rosary and offered it for our school family.
